I just want to make sure this is understood, I don’t hate @trixiemattel , I am not canceling her because I don’t believe in cancel culture.
But I do believe in holding people accountable.
All of this is coming from a place of love https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❤️" title="Red heart" aria-label="Emoji: Red heart">
These are my thoughts https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💭" title="Thought balloon" aria-label="Emoji: Thought balloon">:
The reason why it’s such an issue to me for her to speak up on these issues is that for endless years black people, like myself, have spoken up, have fought, have marched for our rights & we& #39;re not heard obviously because we& #39;re still being killed.
I am also someone who has fought & stood up for gay rights my entire life. why? Because it’s a human right to love. It is also a human right for me to breathe.
We’ve come to a place in time where our generation is fed up, we are tired, especially black people, we are tired of saying the same thing every year, it’s exhausting. I’m only 24 & I’m tired because I’ve been fighting this since I was 16.
Allies are INCREDIBLY needed now more than ever. As a fan…stan of Trixie, I know that she isn’t racist, but her response was not well thought out & it felt very half-assed to be completely honest. Then seeing her response today just hurt more.
What I’d like to see from her is her truly educating herself on this subject because it does matter. She has a predominantly white fan base that NEEDS to be educated on this subject because this isn’t a black problem, this is a white problem that is affecting black people.
If I can educate myself on gay rights & fight for gay rights & stand up for gay rights, for someone who is part of the majority I think you can educate yourself on black history, fight for black people& #39;s rights & stand up for black people like me. I believe this for EVERYONE.
With you educating yourself on this topic you’re able to educate your race & following on this as well. We have to start somewhere to find a solution to end these murders because my life matters.
I know Trixie is not an evil human being, I know that under all of the makeup, under the dresses & Go-Go boots she has a beautiful heart.
But it is important for her & everyone else to speak up & speak out for black people & black people’s rights.
If you choose to not educate & speak out on these issues, that is completely your choice, but that just tells me where you stand.

I’m not saying to be an activist, I’m just saying stand up for what is right.

Sending you nothing but love
