Not sure what to do? Find your local PD& #39;s mission statement and email them asking how it relates to the George Floyds of your community. Make it a serious and respectful question that invites a serious and respectful answer.

Ask them about their use of force training and re-up requirements. Ask them about their civilian review board. Don& #39;t let them say "We& #39;re not Minneapolis" because I guarantee you at least one MPD officer said "We& #39;re not New York/Baltimore/Claxton/Ferguson.”

Then talk to your friends and see about amplifying the voices most affected. Justice demands more than our sad resignation, our thoughts and prayers, and our say their name posts.
