As an indigenous woman I really do fear for my life when I go walking by myself. I always went to a school on the reservation where it was just all natives, but when I moved to high school outside of the rez where most of the white people live, it scared the shit out of me.+
I experience racism in high school still, i got called a gangster just for wearing a sweater and these white kids laughed at me when I was walking down the hall. I cry about it still.
