this scene was the first time archie has ever let himself be this vulnerable with someone. he tried to push her away but she chose to stay and be there for him.
every time archie starts to have doubts about what he’s capable of, veronica is right there reassuring him how good he is.

the way he’s so protective of her.
archie literally RAN after being tortured for hours, to save veronica.
and the second he finds her, the first thing he does is kiss her because he’s so glad that she’s okay.
archie is in a bad place and deep in his thoughts but when he hears veronica’s voice he comes out of it.
veronica was in tears and begging her dad to save archie. the thought of all the bad things that could’ve happened to him was unbearable for her.
when archie is being taken away, the only thing he says is that he loves veronica because he couldn’t leave without telling her that.

he knew since the second he met her that she was someone he wanted to have a future with.

archie was ready to kill hiram but jughead saying would veronica ever forgive him was the only thing that was able to stop him
they were broken up here but it just shows that whether they’re together or not, they’ll always be each other’s comfort zones.
she always believe in him no matter what.
this scene is so underrated but it’s important because even though they weren’t together and archie was in a whole relationship with someone else, he still goes to veronica because she’s the only person that can ease his mind
every time archie is ready to give up, veronica is right there encouraging and pushing him to be better.

she was there for him this whole episode while he was struggling with the loss of his dad. also betty and jughead walked away in the scene so that veronica could talk to him alone because even they know that she’s the only one who knows exactly what to say to him.
