150 Nook tickets used. I& #39;ve never done a hunt that huge, but it was for my birthday and I was really trying to find Stitches or Dom (to no avail). Somewhere during the process I started to notice patterns in the villagers I& #39;d come across.

around about how you can find different villagers at different times, but after looking into this I have yet to find anyone that has gone in-depth of what that means.
I hunted with these 150 tickets at around 3 different times. Starting around 7AM, I found several squirrels.+

At this point I wasn& #39;t keeping track, but I remember coming across at least 6 of them (one of which being Marshall for those looking for him). My roommate can also verify that she found Marshall around this time when she was looking for him.

I was looking for, I skipped ahead to 12AM (11:59 on the same day so the clock rolls naturally and doesn& #39;t mess up). At that time, I was finding many repeats and later realized it was because they were mostly cows, bulls, and lions- all species with small villager pools.+
Then again a bit after 3AM, I started to realize the patterns and began to record what I was coming across. I ended my hunt around 4:30AM (I ended up finding Ankha around this time and moved her in!). Between that time I came across the following+
-4 monkeys
-3 cats
-3 sheep
-2 elephants
-1 goat
-2 gorilla
-1 koala

Based on that alone, it seems as though depending on what time of day you& #39;re island hopping, there may be a percented chance that you will come across a certain species of villager more frequently.
With 27 species in the game (hoping I counted that correctly) and 16 island findings recorded, 1/4 of those were monkeys. So it would appear that monkeys may be more common to find around 3AM.
This could all be coincidence, but it& #39;s hard to tell based on my experience alone.

I& #39;m going to record all of my experiences here as I continue to search for the villagers I want. I& #39;ll likely try to hunt around 3AM again since sheep were common for me at that time and I& #39;m looking for Dom! But moving forward I& #39;d like to hunt at all times of day.
