Which dovetails nicely with this tweet today (recalling a thread from April from notes investor Bill Gurley about demand - and not supply - being the key determined of success for marketplaces).

In brokerage it& #39;s no easy feat to pull together enough lane density to provide adequate supply, but the real trick is getting the demand. That& #39;s why newer brokers (Uber Freight most active among them) have been partnering w/ TMSs, which provide an in-built supply of shippers.
