On the day he returned from Durham, Cummings amended an old blog of his to include (an apparently prophetic, don& #39;t you know) reference to coronavirus. He proudly referenced it in his statement.

His account of his visit to Durham has been lawyered. It is the best story he can concoct which a) fits the known evidence; and b) as far as possible, fits the law. 2/5 https://twitter.com/davidallengreen/status/1264943223329501186">https://twitter.com/davidalle...
Bits of it simply beggar belief - it is not credible to suggest that he drove to Barnards Castle on Easter Sunday, his wife& #39;s birthday, and was seen by 2 sets of people, while he was testing whether his eyesight was OK for the morrow& #39;s drive back to London. 3/5
The attempts to shift blame onto the media are not subtle. And the defences offered by the Cabinet and the Prime Minister have been derisory - time to move on, nothing to see here. 4/5
It is not so much Cummings& #39; credibility, but that of the Government as a whole, which is being shredded.
