Been thinking about Mr. Freeze and how he& #39;s absolutely a working class hero: He worked for a company that cut research funding for a cure for a rare and severe disease, he took out his boss, then used the resources he obtained to look for the cure himself, with no profit motive.
Also, he& #39;s a disabled hero: He requires his cryo-suit to stay alive, something he and other characters mention repeatedly. He needs temperature control or he dies, hence the assistive technology (his helmet + suit).
He even mentions how the suit restricts him as much as it gives him freedom; He needs it and he can function with it, but he doesn& #39;t always like it and he misses his previous level of ability, something a lot of disabled people can relate to.
And also, Mr. Freeze is a genuinely good human being who did what he did for the sake of his wife (in need of the cure/treatment) as well as for anyone else who has the disease in question who would benefit from his takeover of the biomedical company and resources.
I& #39;m talking mostly about BTAS in this thread but I& #39;ve seen the new Freeze episode in the Harley Quinn series and no spoilers but yes I cried extremely hard and I still love him and will forever https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❄" title="Snowflake" aria-label="Emoji: Snowflake">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💙" title="Blue heart" aria-label="Emoji: Blue heart">
