Even in relationships... You have a hard time opening up to other people because you can’t even talk to your own parents...

And so you develop horrible coping mechanisms to get you through tough times in life, because you’ve never had a reliable outlet in your parents...

So when you become financially dependent you no longer text them or call them, and you begin to question whether you really love them or if you loved what they did for you...

Then you start to blur the line between genuinely loving someone and loving what someone can do for you...
