I beat the game I can join the fam overall I give it a 7/10. you might think the ending knocked it down and yes a little but I didn’t hate it. The ending gave the game potential, potential to fail #FF7R https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt="">

But also potential for super epic things to come. I https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💕" title="Two hearts" aria-label="Emoji: Two hearts"> things with potential (just look at my shipping choices) so overall It piqued my interest and curiosity thus I liked it.

Why would you pad the game near the end? Chapter 17 in my opinion did nothing (not even for its own story) but stall you. Chapter 6 is also a pretty bad offender.

But Amy what about chapter 14, technically the sidequests are mostly optional, they’re varied and they show a greater impact on the plate falling down. So there was a goal there. But yeah you could argue it’s padding too but enjoyable padding?

Environments: whoever Made this game is obsessed w/the colors blue and green. Most of the time I couldn’t figure out where I was bc everything was one color. That is all on that.

And localization. Playing in Japanese was 100% the right choice for me. I’m all for taking the liberties you feel you have to but story beats were literally changed b/c of this. Right down to the ending. The ending man. I joked w/ my bro that maybe the ending made more sense

And would thus be better in Japanese. I mean I was partially right. It doesn’t seem like much of a difference saying “The steel sky I miss it” https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🆚" title="Squared vs" aria-label="Emoji: Squared vs"> “This sky i hate it” but one connects to previous events (creating more impact) and one just implies nostalgia. For 1 example.

This is just what I as a layman noticed. I imagine there’s more. Idk I just feel like my bro and I literally played two different games. That said the vas were fantastic in both except for one boi. So overall 7/10 enjoyable for the most part, a few misses across the board and I’m hoping the localization team gets better. Regardless most likely going to play part 2 in Japanese too. To keep things fresh and continue training my ear.
