Unemployment rates as of April 2020:

- Germany: 4%
- Denmark: 6%
- Finland: 8%
- Portugal: 9%
- France: 10%
- United States: 14.7%

And, the US is the only country where you can lose your health care when you become unemployed.

We& #39;re not doing enough for working people.
The governments of France, Germany, the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands are all directly paying companies to keep workers on payroll. It& #39;s cheaper and more effective than our PPP program.

And yet, @PramilaJayapal& #39;s Paycheck Guarantee didn& #39;t even pass the Dem controlled House.
We& #39;re the wealthiest nation in the world. We& #39;re only lacking for justice:

- Nearly 1 in 5 American children don& #39;t have enough food to eat.

- Meanwhile, billionaires added $484,000,000,000 to their wealth over the course of the pandemic.
One reason the U.S. has been uniquely hard hit by the crisis:

- Our ruling conservative party doesn& #39;t believe in science or facts and supports a leader who suggests taking Clorox.

- Our center-left opposition party does not pursue universal social programs that benefit all.
Working people are just treated worse in the US:

- We& #39;re the only wealthy country that doesn’t offer some kind of paid family leave

- The U.S. ranks 30th (out of 36) wealthy countries in disability spending

- We& #39;re one of only 9 wealthy countries without universal child-care
