We have 15 crews currently in attendance at a large fire at Langar Airfield Industrial estate.

We were called at 2:43pm following reports of a fire. Crews from Newark, Melton Mowbray, London Road, Highfields, East Leake, Stockhill, Southwell, Bingham along with three water carriers from Worksop, Loughborough and Clay Cross are currently in attendance.
We have crews from other Fire Services and the support of the Police assisting with the incident.
Crews from three different Fire Service& #39;s are still working extremely hard to extinguish the fire.

There are currently 15 appliances, with one High Volume Pump, three Water Carriers, one Command Unit and approximately 90 Firefighters from three different Fire Service& #39;s.
Crews will now start to be rotated with night shift staff and are working tirelessly to control the fire.

Our Firefighters will be working throughout the night to dampen down the fire. The smoke from the fire contains lots of different chemicals that cannot immediately be identified. Please keep your windows and doors closed. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Currently there are three appliances, one Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) & a High Volume Pump (HVP). Our firefighters will continue to extinguish the fire. The risk of asbestos has been downgraded and we continue to manage the incident. Please keep your windows and doors closed.

Crews are continuing to work hard to extinguish the fire and once the fire is out a full investigation will be made into the cause. At present the cause is unknown and we are focusing on putting the fire out.
