One of my dearest friends is on immune suppressants. If she doesn& #39;t take them her immune system attacks her muscles and joints basically crippling her. So, she& #39;s been extra vigilant as medical professionals have insisted we all do but especially those at risk. She is 1/4

literally suppressing her immunity so she can live the most active life possible. BUT she needs to go to her doctor to get her blood drawn or she can& #39;t get those medications that she needs. She inquired if they could find an alternative; traveling nurse, parking lot, 2/4

something...because she doesn& #39;t feel comfortable going into a hospital at this time. Again, because her immune system is ACTIVELY SUPPRESSED. The doctors won& #39;t budge. You& #39;d think if they were so concerned about COVID-19 and the risks they wouldn& #39;t give her an ultimatum, but 3/4

they did. So, she made a choice and will not have her medications refilled until she feels safe to go to the hospital.

Oh, I should add that she& #39;s a veteran and this is the VA.

Stop sending mixed messages to these vulnerable people you asshats. 4/4
