There& #39;s a growing push among public-health experts to encourage people to go outdoors. It seems to represent a new stage in the virus response.

When the lockdowns began almost two months ago, the outdoors seemed like a scary place. It was where you could get infected by a neighbor, jogger, public bench, doorknob or any number of other things.
But the research on the virus has begun to make the outdoors look safer. It still brings risks (like doorknobs). But they are fairly small. This study of 1,245 coronavirus cases across China found that only 2 came from outdoors transmission. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.04.20053058v1?campaign_id=0&emc=edit_nn_20200514&instance_id=0&nl=the-morning®i_id=0&segment_id=0&te=1&user_id=b74358c4954dc24bf1450049d7ba544b">https://www.medrxiv.org/content/1...
That& #39;s why more experts are saying: Get outside!
Wear masks when you do. Be careful about getting close to other people or touching surfaces. But it’s time to think about how to move more activities outdoors — socializing, eating, shopping, school, work meetings and more.
