Hey, does anybody know the word for when a song is changed enough to avoid ASCAP penalties, but is still recognizable? It& #39;s not a parody, it& #39;s just tweaked.

Again, not a parody, because the intent isn& #39;t to mock, just to not be sued.

EX: one an episode of #30Rock, Jenna signed on to star in a bootleg biopic of Janis Joplin, and she changed "Piece Of My Heart" to "Chunk Of My Lung." It was mocking but she played it straight.
