Watching the Unreal 5 Tech Demo and it....kind of looks exactly how I expected? Nothing we fundamentally haven& #39;t seen before, but lots more and smaller pixels and polygons and particles. Not a complaint, just an observation.
It& #39;ll make much more of a difference on the dev side than player experience, but the new lighting engine being purely dynamic and not needing any pre-baked maps seems like by far the most interesting bit to me.
Although there& #39;s this bit where they talk about particles "talking to each other" that I wish they& #39;d elaborated on, not sure what that means in practice.
....Adding on to this thread - it& #39;s kind of interesting to consider the possibility that the change in generation might almost be a bigger deal for devs than it is for players.
