By now, you& #39;ve probably seen THAT @s04_en tweet. You know, the one that "went viral".

It& #39;s time for a look at how it performed, using @socialbakers

First of all, the tweet itself.

It& #39;s brilliant.

It& #39;s funny, it uses Twitter appropriately to tell a story, and it taps into the conversations that fans are having. It& #39;s rightly drawn attention to the club& #39;s account.
Stats wise, it generated more than 37k interactions. And that& #39;s just the initial tweet, we haven& #39;t looked at the thread yet.
This will include some of the other tweets sent that day, but that thread generated them nearly 120k likes and around 15k RTs. Decent.
However, it wasn& #39;t until the next day that it took off. This shows the number of mentions they received, suggesting that the tweet actually spread on the Tuesday. It was posted at 6pm BST on Monday, so took more than 12 hours to catch on to the extent it did.
How about followers?

The tweet netted them around 2.5k extra followers, to an account that started at the 113k mark.
Aside: they& #39;re not following any extra accounts.
The best bit is how they used this engagement. They replied to around 70 fans with personalised shirts welcoming them to the club.

They used that engagement and replied to new fans, rather than leaving it.
All in all: top marks. Creative thread, good numbers, and followed up with some personalised engagement.
