Im exhausted.

The New York Times deadnamed Aimee Stephens in her own obit. They fixed it bc enough trans people made our trauma performative; that& #39;s the only way we can get attention.

We& #39;re asking for basic human rights & correct names/pronouns. Why is that so damn hard?

Its not enough for us to have names and pronouns and expect them to be used - as any cis person can expect. No, we have to convince you it& #39;s suicide prevention, we have to point at the ever-growing numbers of dead trans ppl. And then we get called out for performative trauma!

This is just...its exhausting. The NYT damn well knew Aimee& #39;s name, and theyve heard for years why deadnaming is a problem. But they did it anyway. And they& #39;ll do it next time, too.
