last thing on the Sky News full bus story. my job, up until recently, regularly involved me playing the drums in central London, so I have a good amount of experience driving to work in central London. it& #39;s outrageously slow, expensive and difficult.
I have cheap union access to car parks and I can often expense things like ULEZ/CC, but it& #39;s still massively expensive. if there& #39;s any way I can avoid it, I do. I frequently stay on people& #39;s sofas to avoid driving multiple days.
and I have to plan well in advance to make sure it& #39;s possible at all, a lot of the time. central London is Not Drivable. the population is too dense and the city wasn& #39;t built for it.
and that& #39;s if you can even have access to a car! so much housing in greater London makes owning a car impossible or impractical
NB this thread is not an argument that London is bad because it& #39;s car-unfriendly
