just a little something i realised after rereading this match (again)

the stress that built up on yamamoto& #39;s shoulders after not being able to score points against nohebi finally cumulated and ended resulted in a failure to receive the ball properly,

which led to yaku having to get it and subsequently twisting his ankle.

and no one says it explicitly, but from his face here we can see that yamamoto takes almost all the blame for yaku& #39;s injury. though the question isn& #39;t directed at him at all, yamamoto is probably thinking,

"because of me, because i fell into nohebi& #39;s trap even though i /knew/ that was their plan all along, to bait me into a misplay."

while no one else reached out, kenma was the one to give him a firm pat on the back, assuring him that no one faulted him for what happened and that they were going to do better. it& #39;s this kind of silent reassurances that gets me every single time (like that time with iwaizumi)

anyway what i wanted to say was furudate is amazing at portraying little things like these.

also i love toraken friendship!!!
