hello!! i’m here with a SPOILER-FREE thread of reasons for why you should watch daiya no ace!! this series has become one of my favorites in a short span of time, and i really want more people to watch this incredible story. feel free to reply or qrt with your opinions on daiya!!
also, a huge thank you to fatima ( @vethirugami) for helping me write and read over this thread!! i always really enjoy talking about daiya with fatima and i’m really thankful that we could work on this thread together!! :D
reason 1: incredible character development
eijun, the main character of daiya, is such a well-written protagonist. his growth is realistic; we see him experience many downs throughout the show, but the fact that he’s always aiming to get stronger is incredibly inspirational. +

reason 1 continued:
you can’t help cheering for eijun in every episode and the impact he makes on your watching experience is so powerful. he’s a ray of sunshine, a motivational protagonist, and he’s always reflecting and looking forward during his journey.

reason 2: the supporting charas
along with eijun, the characters supporting his journey have detailed backstories and arcs of their own. there are so many stories to experience that not only support eijun’s overarching story but contribute to that individual side chara’s growth.

reason 3: the baseball matches
the baseball games themselves are well-paced and suspenseful. every time the pitchers stand on the mound, the next batter is up in the batter’s box, or the catcher makes the next call, you’re left in suspense at what could happen next.

reason 4: the humor
the humor in daiya no ace is honestly unmatched. eijun never fails to make you smile; the interactions are so heart-warming, and you can’t help laughing along in the funny moments. if i need cheering up, daiya always does that and more.

reason 5: the rival teams
i really wish both teams could win every game. that’s how much i appreciate the rival teams in daiya. the members of those teams also have detailed backstories and such unique characterizations, and you’ll find yourself cheering for them, too.

reason 6: the interactions
daiya focuses a lot on team and individual practices. but the way those scenes are structured are so much fun to watch. you watch the team grow as much in those practices as they do in the games, and you can’t take your eyes off all the action.
