The difference between Son Seungwan and Bae Joohyun - A thread
Being relatively new in the Red Velvet fandom and becoming fond with the wenrene ship, I have noticed subtle differences with the resident leader visual and main vocalist
Son Seungwan is naturally expressive. Her emotions shows right through the facial expressions & she exudes a certain kind of aura that& #39;s akin to a having a picnic with a friend while basking under the warm summer sun or reading books while sipping hot chocolate on a rainy day.
She is the kind of person that is kindhearted to a fault. She is the kind of person who makes amazing home cooked meals for you after spending a hectic day at work. The kind of person who buys trinkets from the store just because it reminded her of you.
Meanwhile, Bae Joohyun is a different story. The leader knows how to handle her emotions and conceals them very well, almost too well. Though she is mindful of her facial expressions, always keeping a mask of stoic calmness, there is one thing that easily distinguishes her.
Her eyes. They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul and this certainly applies to Bae Joohyun. She has the most expressive pair of brown eyes. It provides a great contrast to the calm expression she usually portrays.
She could stare at you and make it seem like you& #39;re worth writing a thousand love letters. She could stare at you and you wonder why you& #39;ve been travelling all over the world searching for something when she was the only destination you ever needed.
Her stares hold secrets deep within, secrets she cradles within her heart. Her stares are the answers to the questions of the universe. Bae Joohyun is the type of person who& #39;s reliable. Always keeping a reassuring presence that& #39;s never invasive & only intervening whenever needed.
The type of person who gives you a pat on the back for a job well done. The person who frowns on your little mistakes but gently corrects you nonetheless. The person who takes you to museums and other historical places.
The type of person who you take to a quaint music shop & listen to old vinyl cd. The type of person who scolds you for getting sick but dotes on you anyways. The one who begrudgingly dances in the rain with you. The one who maps out the stars as you both gaze into the night sky.
This is my take on both the members of Red Velvet. I certainly do not claim expertise about the two people and hope to have given them justice by describing them as beautifully as I can. I may have made this sound a little too poetic though
