History will get this presidency right. And it will note who the scoundrels were. Not just in government, but among the class of researchers and analysts—on the right *and* the left—which had among its number many people without the courage to stand by the facts when it got hard.

6/ Note that, even in focusing—rightly—on the national security threat Flynn posed due to his actions, and in calling—rightly—the odds of a Logan Act prosecution "quite low," McCord does not claim (as no one could) that there was not *also* a basis for a criminal *investigation*.
7/ Indictments have been brought under the Logan Act multiple times. The head of the GOP—Trump—supports the Logan Act being used. Congress has declined for 221 years to repeal it. Flynn& #39;s case posed the strongest Logan Act case in history. Of course the FBI had to investigate it.
8/ Even the fallacious argument that every DOJ prosecutor conducts a discrete, idiosyncratic inquiry into the constitutionality of every on-the-books law before employing them *underscores* that the *FBI*—whose job is to investigate, not prosecute—had to do *its* job regardless.
9/ I& #39;m thrilled that folks on the right have found a few moral cowards on the left who—fearing that they look bad on Twitter—are pulling back from the accurate, corroborated major-media reports and federal investigations connected to the Trump-Russia case. I am not. I will never.
10/ History *will* get this right. If you follow folks on Twitter who are wavering on *proven facts* because they care more about how they look than *doing the right thing*, keep following them if you like—but consider that cowardice always outs itself in ways shallow *and* deep.
PS/ Like any journalist, if someone offers clear and convincing evidence that one of the 10,000+ facts I curated from major-media investigative reports since 2016 was inaccurate, I& #39;ll say so publicly. But bowing to critics who claim to know about things they never researched? No.
