i don& #39;t like to talk about my feelings on pedophiles/maps because the internet is a cesspool, but i will say that they are not synonymous with child sexual abusers. They are not the same.

paraphilias aren& #39;t harmful on their own, even if the object of attraction squicks you out. it& #39;s what the person does with their paraphilia that matters. if the answer is "nothing," especially when acting would be harmful, then i have no problem with that person.
i think these people do deserve their own safe space and community, especially when the professional fields are biased and it& #39;s hard to get help, and everyone on the internet thinks they should die for just being born that way.

i don& #39;t think any reasonable person with a paraphilia alone thinks they are part of the LGBT+ spectrum, but I can& #39;t actually speak in this regard, as I am unfamiliar with these spaces and don& #39;t have a paraphilia myself. I think the people who say they are are simply trolls.
i use the word paraphilia instead of pedophilia because antis have turned the word into something it& #39;s not, to the point I& #39;m uncomfortable saying it, but it& #39;s what I& #39;m talking about specifically in this thread. my point still stands for lesser known paraphilias too, though.
I had more to say on this topic but honestly all I can think of now is the stupidity of people who genuinely think fanfiction or fan art involving fake teens is synonymous with offending sexual abusers, which has been said better by larger accounts than I, so i think I stop here.
