The comments about consent are too simplistic...there was consent in the 50s...it was just not discussed in public.

And in the strict religious family I gre up in....it was considered a sin....you can laugh....but that& #39;s the way it was...

And as the Jesuits say...give me man/woman for the first seven years of their life and we (religion) will have them forever....and to some extent that is true.
