honestly this seems like an irresponsible take, i.e., i feel the repercussions of imperialism and it still doesn’t equate to the systemic violence experienced by black + brown people.
as a Karuk person + community member i don’t appreciate when people insult me or my identity, and lateral violence is real + a result of colonization but feeling hurt is still not the same as systemic oppression. whiteness is a privilege, even then. am i missing something?
