We as society must do better for our essential workers. Provide & fund a safe place to be able to isolate. Hold corporations accountable to ensure safety for their workers. Use cultural & language brokers to educate on public health measures. /2
When these pts need medical care, we need to help them navigate the healthcare system. Hopefully, when they recover, they will be handed over to their #medicalhome seamlessly where we can ensure their ongoing wellness, including their families & their SDOH. /3
I, along w my clinic partners, have the privilege of caring for refugee pts. Navigating Canadian life & the system is FOUNDATIONAL to our care of them. #Familymed will need resources to increase support of these ppl after COVID trauma. #primarycare cuts will hinder this/4 #ableg

Pls consider how we can support those who can& #39;t speak up for SAFE work. I& #39;ve had too many pts in past few weeks in tears re fear to speak up, while acutely fearing for their own & family& #39;s health. I& #39;ve written letters to employers to advocate for pts;afraid they& #39;re being ignored
