So a new offensive has been launched against @marchimark and @funimation due to a tweet she posted a few days ago. People are angered and offended because she was promoting school shootings to occur. (1/13) #Funimation

The first thing we have to do is look at the entire thread the post was in. Jamie& #39;s post is in response to someone criticizing on Dr. Oz seemingly saying schools should be re-opened since the cost of doing so is simply an increase of 2-3% in the total morality rate. (3/13)
Would like to say the person, like many, most likely thought the 2-3% increase in mortality rate was specifically for schoolchildren and not the overall fatality rate, hence their focus on kids. As for why guns are mentioned, the people pushing for early re-openings tend to be right-wing leaning conservatives who also tend to be pro-gun and against any form gun control legislation that could help reduce the number of school shootings and save schoolchildren lives (6/13)

Looking at Jamie& #39;s post, I get the feeling she is criticizing the idea that we should sacrifice human lives by re-opening things early in order to jump start the economy and make some quick cash for themselves in the short-term. (8/13)
I say that because the person she is replying to seemingly criticized Dr. Oz for the same mentality. As to the "sell more guns" comment, I suspect that& #39;s a reference to how gun manufacturers tend to have increased sales after school shootings...(9/13)

Now with that being said, Jamie seems to be sarcastically mentioning gun sales and the supposed need of school shootings (by gun manufacturers) to make a quick buck regardless of the lives lost to mock the idea of people wanting to restart the economy...(11/13)
