"This is India! People just don& #39;t behave, that have to be taught a lesson"
Me: But it& #39;s illegal, tomorrow it could be someone from our family caught up in a crowd.
"That wont happen, Its only the law-breakers who get beaten up"
Me: But...
"Do you know how hard our cops work?

And so it went on and on. First, it was No one can change things in India, this is the way it is, then it was the opposite: Change will come, in its own way. Don& #39;t be negative; everyone& #39;s working hard during #Covid19 emergency and #Lockdown.
After an exasperating debate about false equivalences; and why looking for a balancing positive is to condone the illegality (they would NOT accept that) - it was a truce. Then offline, I sent them this:
