The Guangzhou situation is a very legitimate thing to criticize. But even then we still need to remind folks to not make false equivalencies between China & the US. That spreads misinformation about racism in China & covers up anti-Black violence happening in the US right now.

Note that it’s not saying these stories are false and just meant to smear China - it’s the platforms spreading them that has been consistently engaged in anti-China propaganda. We can address anti-Blackness in China a way that doesn’t benefit imperialist, racist American media.
