Note that Biden& #39;s weakness isn& #39;t " #NeverBiden voters on the left," who are minuscule in number.
It& #39;s that, among Democrats overall, there isn& #39;t a lot of excitement about his candidacy. That will reduce turnout, fundraising, volunteering at the margins.

This is his greatest weakness going forward, that a large share of the party - the progressive half - appears to be supporting the ticket rather grudgingly. The logical thing to do is use the VP slot to directly address this weakness, and excite progressives.
