In elections, there are winners and losers. In SKorea, the ruling Minjoo Party and the opposition United Future Party are the two biggest parties. Minjoo will retain its majority. Minjoo wins, UFP loses.
But another loser is electoral reform itself. https://twitter.com/YTN24/status/1250426188620685312">https://twitter.com/YTN24/sta...

I wrote a long thread explaining about SKorea& #39;s electoral reform and how the two major parties manipulated the law to create their own satellite parties in a bid to gain more seats. https://twitter.com/koreanforeigner/status/1241725035124903938">https://twitter.com/koreanfor...
Regardless of which major party won more seats and by how many, it cannot be denied that they both cannibalized their own satellite parties. And smaller parties might as well have stayed home.
Electoral reform was supposed to expand representation. It turned out to be a sham.
