These letters were written by Jerzy Modelski whose father died in Auschwitz. Jerzy is @danpogofc& #39;s grandfather. The letters went missing from the family under suspicious circumstances.

I am absolutely appalled, heartbroken, and incensed as a family member and an historian. The Modelski family had four members sent to Auschwitz. One was killed there. The Modelskis were members of the Polish Home Army (the underground).
I cannot believe a #Holocaust survivor& #39;s family is being forced to pay for some of the only surviving evidence from a very painful history.
