I was in a bike accident 4 weeks ago when someone opened their door without looking behind. I& #39;ve been in PT since and have been laid off in the interim. With COBRA, I can continue my existing treatment but my monthly healthcare premiums have more than doubled.
This doesn& #39;t include my co-pays. I get that COBRA doesn& #39;t cover everyone but I feel like having the government cover COBRA costs would be a quick and easy and way to ensure a lot of newly unemployed people don& #39;t have to worry about ending their treatment.
Or trying to find a new doctor. Once I find a new job, I& #39;ll probably buy on the exchange or use my new employer plan. But when your health insurance coverage ends on March 31 and you have an appointment on April 1, I don want to have to worry about finding a new doctor.
Great @voxdotcom write-up of the Democrat& #39;s plan to cover COBRA costs 100%.
Also, this country needs to move beyond employer-based health insurance https://www.vox.com/2020/4/9/21210353/coronavirus-health-insurance-biden-sanders-medicare-for-all">https://www.vox.com/2020/4/9/...
And look behind you before you open your car door please!
