What qualities make a & #39;good& #39; dominant?

1. Self-awareness & responsibility

2. Confidence but with humility & a willingness to learn

3. Good communication & listening skills

4. Empathy & care-giving

5. Creativity & flexibility

6. Patience

7. A desire to be in control & lead

CAVEAT: all of the above is just my opinion (i.e. feel free to ignore).

But there will now be a Long Rambling Kink Thread (confession to any new followers/readers: I do these a lot) in which I& #39;ll discuss this stuff further. There may also be dinosaur gifs.

CAVEAT II: in this thread I& #39;m talking about personal qualities/traits. Obviously, when a dominant starts being a dominant with/to other people, those qualities/traits need to be underpinned by the fundamentals involved in any interaction with other people, such as consent.

CAVEAT III: in my opinion (emphasis) I think these qualities are important in any type of D/s dynamic. Obviously the content of that dynamic should be what works for the people involved, but in my view they are sensible in a so-called & #39;bedroom-only& #39; dynamic or in a 24/7 one...

CAVEAT III (continued): .... or sensible in a Dominant/submissive dynamic, a Master or Mistress/slave dynamic, or a Caregiver/little dynamic. You get the general idea: in my opinion (only), this stuff is quite important.
