I was very much like this as a teen @EHopeDoherty I would segment my journals into seasons that were determined by the fragrance of shampoo or cologne I was using and I would compile lists of all the fragrant products and popular songs that coincided with a particular time.
What’s really weird is that the only hallucinations I had when I became psychotic at 18 were olfactory. And then, after my experience of psychosis, whether because of the experience or the treatment, I never experienced my sense of smell in quite the same evocative way again.
