Shawn records the Beats interview on March 21st, which means that his album was ready. However, by the time the video of the interview comes up (April 5th) he has removed Chances. (He is likely to have it swapped with When You Are Ready, between end of March/early April)

In those days both S & C were in LA (S did Drop the Mic on April 3rd) and M was in Japan for the full week.
This is the part where the theory gets crazy: S probably saw C’s tweet. We assume that S might have taken the chance to call her to give her the album. If they did speak on the phone, they could have agreed to meet up before she left for tour (and M was away!)

FIT talks about an in-person conversation (“Oh, I& #39;m scared if I look in your eyes, I might see your soul” and “I can feel you still staring at me when I look away”) When Shawn attends Camila’s concert in Toronto on April 28th, M was there.
At the end of the concert, C posts the ‘real friends’ pictures, which seem to be some of of reassurance for S (meaning that regardless of the current situation, they will still be friends)

On May 26th S talks about the importance of expressing exactly how he feels, so that situations can be clarified and people can move on. But in the street sign story he was unsure if he wanted to tell C about his feelings. It’s likely that S spoke to her before album release, but let’s assume he didn’t... it’s safe to say that the FIT conversation happened before the Taylor Swift concert in August, as their interactions were really awkward
However, we have checked their social media between May and August and we couldn’t find a single day where they were both in the same city, without M travelling with C. We have been looking for alternatives (basically testing our own theory)…
…but we kept going back to early April as the ‘perfect opportunity’. S would have known his schedule and that C was about to start touring. So, if not then… then when???
