Reading the replies they are so insensitive ohmaigawd. I got sick so I went to the unit kesihatan to see the doctor (for my fever that was up to a week). Upon seeing her and she was checking my medical history she was aware I was experiencing some mental illness. She asked me https://twitter.com/awatninews/status/1249190925085093888">https://twitter.com/awatninew...
about it and the conversation progressed to me asking her if there are any other students who suffer the same. “A few” she said. She also reminded me that if my mental health got worst there’s an option to put my education on hold (kinda like sick leave) for me to get better.
Dia then cerita about how there was once a student who had schizophrenia and couldn’t focus in class because he kept hearing voices. He couldn’t even sit in his room alone because he continuously felt tired of the voices to the point he had enough. Another students depression
or idk another mental illness (I’m sorry I can’t recall) got worse she had to take a break from studying. Went back home and because she was constantly stuck in her room/ house her mental illness got worst to the point she even ate her own shit and got out of controlled.
You might think ‘staying inside’ is nothing as you don’t experience the vicious thoughts in your head or having multiple voices screaming or telling you to kill yourself. But there are people who do. And without them having the right support, some students can lose it and may not
be able to hold on any longer. I’d always advice my mentally ill friends to constantly be with people who are supportive and who will look out for you. I tell them to do something or go out and distract yourself. How are these students locked up alone or even with friends (who
probably aren’t that supportive or clueless with how to deal with the mentally ill), able to do that?
I have a friend who suffers from schizophrenia and she sees horrible stuff going on around her from a shadow that resembles a person standing few feets away from her to see herself hanging from suicide. She can feel being touched and someone stabbing/strangling her. She can sense
smells that aren’t there that no else can sense. She can hear voices of people screaming at her or telling her that she is useless/ugly/ a burden. Now imagine that going on everyday. This is my friend but I’m sure there are other students who suffer the same. And imagine having
to go through that and getting trap indoors in your room without any support. I see from the replies everyone being insensitive and talking on behalf of the ‘healthy minded people’ but what about these mentally ill people?

Shame on anyone replying under that tweet asking people to kill themselves. I’m not supporting the girl in the tweet but at least be more sensitive.
