Delhi was once called Yoginipur, it is one of the 11 names of the city mentioned in scriptures. Aaranya Shasti (Jyestha Shukla Shasti) was celebrated as Vriksha Mahotsava in #Delhi. Others used to be Indra Mahotsava ( it was the land of Indra), Giri Mahotsava (for Aravalli) and Nadi Mahotsava (for Yamuna). Today there are a million festivals in #Delhi, but none of these.
