1/ Some random thoughts on biological degeneration.

(Hasty, miscellaneous, but I want to write it down before I forget. An audience helps keeps my mind sharp too)

Autoimmune disorders are the result of excess biological activity, which merely coincides with autoimmune response.
2/ This corresponds to the degenerate "high IQ" specimen, i.e. excessive activity for no good reason.

Just like the self-attacking autoimmune response, excess neuronal activity also self-attacks (with OCD, perfectionism, depression, self-deprecation, trichotillomania, etc).
3/ When there& #39;s an excess of activity beyond necessity, you create problems out of nowhere. This describes neuroticism in general.

It also describes *degeneracy* in general: losing sight of the original purpose and blindly pursuing motion instead. Cf. The Sorcerer& #39;s Apprentice
4/ Autoimmune disorders are *trying too hard*. They& #39;re willing for its own sake.

When the flesh is sending mixed signals, the brain gets confused too. It can& #39;t make sense of it all, which results in neuroticism

This is why such people are angsty and difficult to get along with.
5/ Societies that work on Sundays, constantly "fulfil demand", think that business (busy-ness) is the purpose of life, etc, are societies which are trying too hard, and are therefore biologically degenerate. i.e. They become neurotic.

The kids inherit all this (with acne, etc).
6/ Overcoming this requires not taking material life so seriously so that the body (and, by extension, the mind) can enjoy a less disturbed development. This too gets inherited.

Now, permit me some speculation with the following remarks on humanity& #39;s special status in all this:
7/ Evolution by natural selection only happens in a degenerative direction, so that it& #39;s the *weak* who die and in a *specific way*.

The specific manner of their death informs the resulting species, who are degenerating from a more perfect (apex predator) form.
8/ It& #39;s the busybody neurotic prey who evolve by natural selection quickest. They& #39;re mutating every which-way for the reasons I listed earlier in this thread

The more relaxed animals (i.e. lions) are the opposite of these bungled, mutated, try-hard forms. Only their size changes
