Alright kids, BUCKLE UP. This week everyone was rightfully talking about Drake& #39;s home being featured in Architectural Digest. https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/inside-rapper-drakes-hometown-manor-in-toronto">https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/ins...
But because I have more meaningless degrees than you, I noticed something that you didn& #39;t:
That& #39;s right. Hidden in the headline of the viral article is the name of Paige Rense& #39;s 1997 novel MANOR HOUSE.
Who is Paige Rense you ask? Oh ho ho so glad you asked. In 1971, the thrice-married high school dropout was promoted to editor-in-chief of Architectural Digest after her predecessor was murdered in cold blood. A position she held for the next 35 years.
In 1997 she fulfilled a lifelong dream by publishing a mystery novel based on... you guessed it... her predecessor& #39;s murder. She told Charlie Rose: "I& #39;ve started the second one."
... But a sequel to Manor House was never released. Is Drake& #39;s home tour Paige Rense& #39;s lost second novel?! I don& #39;t want to open myself up to legal liability so I& #39;ll just leave this here: https://www.nybooks.com/daily/2018/11/04/a-gilded-age-at-architectural-digest/">https://www.nybooks.com/daily/201...
