Since I got more in touch with IRL and less with the internet, I& #39;ve noticed a significant change in friends!

I was a social butterfly online. And that felt cool! But weirdly shallow. Despite how much effort I put in.
I distanced myself from the internet, and now when I *do* use it, the internet friends who actually have real connections with me, are still there.
As for IRL...

...it& #39;s very much the reverse, in a lot of senses!
Because I was so absorbed in online companionship, I neglected people IRL.
And now that I& #39;m making an effort to reconnect, the people who actually missed and want to reconnect, are.

The connections I have right now all feel genuine, equal, and fulfilling.
It& #39;s such a strange and wonderful feeling.
I really thought I would feel lonely, or abandoned, but I feel very comfortable and positive.
