Everything about that Lilo and Stitch callout post is laughably juvenile and frankly just wrong but the thing that legitimately concerns me is this idea that a marginalized character, a POC, a girl, a child no less, can& #39;t be flawed or messy because it& #39;ll "set a bad example"
This idea that fictional characters—especially those who come from backgrounds we don& #39;t often get to see represented in media—need to be shining beacons of perfection so they can serve as good role models.. it& #39;s puritanical bullshit and it seriously activates my fight or flight
