As I note in the article: the leagues don& #39;t actually exist as leagues anymore and haven& #39;t for some time, apart from the DH. They are merely an organizational concept, nothing more. Definitely not like they were back when each league actually, you know, did stuff.
Would I advocate for all this in normal times? No. But it& #39;s not normal times. If you& #39;re ever gonna do some radical things -- at least radical things that don& #39;t imperil people& #39;s health in a pandemic -- now& #39;s the time to do it.
I& #39;m still all-in on the idea I had last month for making the 2020 season into a tournament. A thing I don& #39;t have much patience for are people -- and there will be many -- who simply cite tradition and custom as a reason not to do something weird this year. Sorry, but traditionalism is literally the last thing I give a flying fart about amidst *waves generally* all this
