Well, my parents started a terrarium and have 7 pet snails so far. My mom is debating whether to name them after Tolkien dwarves or the Mercury astronauts while my dad works out a snail labeling system.

So, normal.

My mom would like me to note that there are also a number of slugs in there with the snails at well and that I should be sure to mention them so that they don& #39;t feel slighted. #TeamSlug

No word yet on whether they& #39;re going to try to name the slugs. Or label them.

Snail update: 8 snails. The 6 largest have been labeled w/ color-coded Braille. The 2 littlest (the speedsters who climb the fastest) will be labeled/named once their shells get big enough. Names below.

They’re being fed apples, carrots, celery, & crushed eggshells for calcium.

My dad has added a "jungle gym" for the snails, aka a diagonal branch for them to climb.

Also apparently the carrots make them poop orange.
