The Trump presidency and COVID-19 are similar in that 1) in the beginning, we were all told it was going to be okay - that Trump and the virus weren& #39;t an existential threat to our way of life.

2) When the experts started to sound the alarm and provide facts about the threat, we were told it was all a hoax.

3) When it all started crumbling down, it became obvious that our government actively prevented us from taking steps to contain or eliminate the threat.
