One thing, and then I promise I& #39;ll descend into silliness. I& #39;ve watched the NHS over the last few weeks dig deep, think inventively, be brave, support one another, plan immaculately, turn projects around at blistering speeds.
But: all our courage, all our skills, specialisms, inventiveness, persistence, camaraderie, foresight, *all* of it will be of no avail if everyone else doesn& #39;t do their bit.
Which means: keep washing your hands. Keep buying what you actually need, rather than enough for 6 months. Above all: please, please, stay at home.
I know the weather is getting better. I know it& #39;s hard to tell kids they can& #39;t go for a swim, or to the park, or see their friends, or their grandparents.
This virus doesn& #39;t care, doesn& #39;t discriminate. It won& #39;t think & #39;Well, I& #39;ll let them off, the sunshine was glorious tbf& #39;.
As hard as it is, as it will be, the alternative is unthinkably harder: of losing someone *you* love for the sake of a sunny day. So please, do the NHS, do yourselves a favour and stay home. So we can all enjoy the summer next year <ends>
