Mother blackbird been sat on the eggs most of the day. Managed to snap a pic in between shutters earlier today when she went to eat my dog Rusty’s food, who just sat there looking at her! She’s probably v happy about less noise on Main St!

Today we decided to put some pieces of bread and water at the other end of the small garden. After a couple hours she flew down and enjoyed the treats! Here’s a good aerial pic as she sat patiently in her nest.

Some positive news to try and brighten up your day a bit! This morning after the heavy rain, I went to check on the nest and found that one of the chicks had hatched! Here it is already begging for some food:

A few moments ago I went to check on how the chick was doing only to find that its sibling had also hatched! Fingers crossed now for the 3rd and final egg in the nest
