11. Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver

A genuinely wonderful, horrible gothic suspense thriller. My attention span has been a mere dash, hence the month long book haitus but this brought it roaring back. I couldn& #39;t put it down.

I was on stage tonight just thinking about this book in my bag, and the fen and the house and murder, which was coming up in the plot like a clot in a vein.

I wish you would all read this book and love Maud and hate her father and grip onto the plot like death.
