There& #39;s a cultural history to this *among Black people* ANDDDD an *implied disrespect* when it& #39;s done unsolicited way from a white person TO a Black woman or femme.
When our grandmothers worked in white kitchens and homes, raising their kids, they were "auntied" without permission or desire.
That& #39;s what you& #39;re evoking when you auntie a Black woman & you& #39;re not one.
That& #39;s what you& #39;re evoking when you auntie a Black woman & you& #39;re not one.
At the same time, WITHIN and ACROSS some of our Black communities, it& #39;s done with heat respect and at least implied permission.
